Paint on Wood Furniture | Cap1sucks Home Improvement

Some furniture is made of quality wood for durability, aesthetics, and it is very easy to cut into any shape. However, it is also an organic material which, after a certain period, shiny scars may fade and begin to look dull. To prolong the life of your wood furniture, you may need to do some maintenance work on it after a while. Common things to do would be to apply a coat of paint on it. Personally, I prefer the windows finished furniture, but now with advanced technology, all kinds of colors available for you to choose. I will share with you in this article; apply a coat of paint on your wood furniture favorite.

If you have painted or stained wood furniture that you want to apply a new finish elegantly painted, follow these steps.

1) Move your wood furniture in a well ventilated area.

2) Remove all pieces of furniture, drawer or door you do not want painted. You also need a tape of a party who does not need to be painted.

3) Purchase of paint remover and read the instructions on the back of the container to ensure you get the right type for your application for best results. Remove all the old stain and paint furniture using paint remover.

4) Furniture sand thoroughly to a smooth surface and ensure that any old paint or stain is completely removed. Clean furniture with a damp cloth to remove any sanding dust. Allow to dry completely.

5) Apply two coats of oil-based foundation of quality to follow the instructions on the back of the primary packaging. Let dry after each application before applying the next layer. Allow at least 2 hours to dry.

6) Cat Furniture with paint the color you want. Apply a light coat and let dry layer. Apply a light coat of paint. You may have to repeat this step several times to get the results you want. Make sure each coat is completely dry before the next application.

7) Apply the wax to protect your furniture from the late freshly painted following the instructions on the container. Be sure to leave the furniture is completely dry before using.
