Couponing For Pets

A 12-year-old girl from southern Michigan has turned her couponing skills into a big gift to the cause of animal welfare.
The Daily Telegram of Adrian says Mercedeiz Barton of Hudson started her effort about six months ago, when her mother began "extreme couponing."
The Hudson Middle School student at first was she was working to feed her own dogs and rabbit.
Mercedeiz says she then worked to feed a cousin's kittens.
After the kittens found new homes, Mercedeiz decided to help the Lenawee Humane Society in Adrian.
On Friday, she delivered 80 boxes of cat food, 95 bags of cat treats and 25 cat food trays to the Humane Society. She estimates the value of the donated food at $500.
